      Creating Content from Scratch in Publitas: A Step-by-Step Guide

      Publitas now offers a new and attractive feature that allows users to create content from scratch. With this feature, you can unleash your creativity without needing to upload a PDF. In this guide, we will explain how to use this feature and make the most of it.

      How to Begin

      To start creating your content from scratch, click on 'Create from scratch' instead of the 'Upload PDF' button.

      Configure your publication:

      • Publication Title: Assign a unique title to your publication to help you identify it later.
      • Page Size: Choose a preset size or customize the width and height to fit your specific needs. The recommended "Mobile" size is what we believe works best for mobile-first content.
        • You have minimum dimensions of 40px and maximum of 30000px.
      • Design: As usual, select either the "Single Page" or "Brochure" layout based on your preferences.
        Click: Confirm settings and create the publication.

      After setting up your publication, you'll be directed straight to the Publitas Editor, where you can start creating and adding enrichment elements as usual.

      Customize your content

      Background color:

      If you want to change the background color of your publication instead of the default white, head to the right sidebar. There, you'll find a color picker that allows you to choose a background color for each page, even if you have a brochure layout.

      Adding pages:
      To add more pages to your publication, select the "Add New Page" icon at the top right of the sidebar or navigate to the "Page Manager" and click the "Add page" button. You can add as many additional pages as you need to accommodate your content.

      Changing your page size


      In the Page Manager, you can change the size of the pages at any time after creating the content in the "Page Layout" tab. Note: the change will affect all pages.
