Publitas & GDPR

We collect analytics data, such as page views and link clicks, to provide performance insights. The data is collected and processed by Publitas on our cloud infrastructure. It is anonymized, aggregated and can't be traced back to individuals. In some regions you may have to ask for user consent before collecting this data. You can enable Tracking Consent in our CMS, in which case Publitas will only collect data if explicit consent has been given.

Consent for Publitas tracking

As mentioned above, Publitas will collect and anonymize data by default. To ask for consent for collecting this data, you can:

  1. Navigate to Group settings

  2. Select the Publitas Analytics tab

  3. Enable the "Require visitor consent to allow Publitas to collect behavioral data"

  4. Follow the instructions to set up a custom consent management solution that suits your needs.

If you need any help setting up the consent management, please reach out to our Support team with any questions or your dedicated Success manager for additional services to handle the setup for you.

Please note that enabling the tracking consent without setting up the consent management solution will effectively prevent all Publitas tracking.

Consent for Google Analytics tracking

If you’ve connected a Google Analytics property to your Publitas account, you’re able to ask your readers for consent for your usage of Google Analytics. This option can be found in the group's Settings > Google Analytics menu. Only when consent has been given will the Google Analytics tracker be enabled on your account. Without consent from the end user, the Google Analytics tracker will be disabled.
