What is a catalog today? For some, it’s still a digitized PDF. For others, it’s a shoppable web page, a curated lookbook, or a dynamic web-native content experience. One thing is clear: a single traditional definition no longer applies.
With Publitas, you can choose what navigation format best suits your outcome. With the rise of mobile usage (now 75%+ of our catalog audience), you might want to offer a more native experience by scrolling through the pages rather than swiping. In this digital age, consumers spend a lot of their time scrolling through online content. The majority of media, like news sites and social media, use vertical scrolling to present their content.
Embedding your content with vertical scroll navigation
Under the 'Share' button in your Publication list, select 'Embed' and 'Vertical Layout'. Copy this code to automatically get the vertical navigation experience across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
On mobile, the experience will be embedded directly for the reader to see and interact with. There will be no 'Open' CTA as there is by default in the flipping/horizontal swiping through pages.
Note—Publications will take up the full width available in the browser, so this should be considered when designing them. Publications with two-page spreads may need design adjustments.
Why you might want to do this?
