Enhanced Content Insights: New Metadata Collection

We're introducing enhanced data collection to provide you with better recommendations and benchmarks tailored to your specific content and business goals.

What's Changing

When creating new accounts, groups, or publications, you'll be asked to provide additional information about your content:

  1. Country: Your primary market location

  2. Industry: Your business sector

  3. Content Goal: What you're trying to achieve (sell online, drive to store, editorial content, etc.

  4. Format Type: The type of content you're creating (catalog, flyer, magazine, landing page, etc.)

Why We're Collecting This Information

This metadata helps us build comprehensive benchmarking insights that will benefit you over time:

  1. Industry Benchmarking: Compare your performance against similar businesses in your sector to understand how you stack up competitively.

  2. Regional Performance Insights: See how your content performs compared to others in your geographic market, helping you understand local engagement patterns.

  3. Content-Specific Recommendations: Receive tailored suggestions based on your specific content type and business goals, whether you're driving online sales, increasing store visits, or building brand awareness.

  4. Publication Timeline Analysis: Understand performance trends based on when your content is published, helping you optimize timing strategies.

By collecting this information across all our customers, we're building a robust dataset that will enable us to provide you with relevant, actionable insights that help improve your content performance.

You can edit multiple content rows in this way:

  • If you have mixed values in goals, the change will override all
  • If you have mixed values in the content type, the change will override all, or not be applicable if you have mixed different formats, i.e., a PDF/fixed page content with an adaptive web content.

Data Privacy and Usage

All data collected is completely anonymized and used solely for generating comparative performance insights and benchmarking data. Your individual publication data remains private and secure.

What we collect: Aggregated, anonymized performance metrics combined with the metadata categories (country, industry, content goal, format type) to create meaningful benchmark comparisons.

What we don't collect: Any personally identifiable information, specific business details, or individual performance data that could identify your company or publications.

This data collection enables us to provide you with valuable insights while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and security.

Getting Started

  1. Log in to your account - you may be prompted to complete your profile.

  2. For existing content, visit your group settings to:

    1. Override the country (when, for example, each group represents a different market)

    2. Override the industry (when, for example, each group has a different aim - sell vs inform customers, for instance)

Use bulk edit for efficient updates across multiple publications to

  1. Override any group goal

  2. Add content format
