GTINs in Publitas
Start adding GTINs to your product feed today and unlock automated enrichment, smarter recommendations, and benchmarking
GTINs (Global Trade Item Numbers, e.g., UPC/EAN) are standard product codes. Sharing GTINs now helps us build future capabilities such as automated product data enrichment, benchmarking, and smarter recommendations. Adding GTINs won’t change your current setup, but it enables future improvements.
What is a GTIN?
A globally standardized identifier that represents the same product across sellers and markets (examples: UPC, EAN). One product variant = one GTIN.
Why add GTINs?
- Future enrichment: enables us to auto-fill missing details (titles, categories, images) for more complete publications.
- Smarter guidance: improves the accuracy of future recommendations.
- Benchmarking: supports comparing performance against similar products.
Even a subset (start with top-selling categories) is valuable. You can add more GTINs over time; we’ll pick them up on the next time product feed syncs.
Privacy & data use
We use GTINs to match products and to generate aggregated, anonymized insights. We do not expose your individual business performance. Data is handled under strict security and privacy standards and in line with applicable regulations (e.g., GDPR).
How to provide GTINs
- Include GTIN as a field in your main product feed.
- Or upload a supplemental TSV or XML with Product IDs and GTINs.
- Need help? Contact Support; we can guide the process.
